WICKED THRIFT PRESENTS $1,500 CHECK TO TAYLOR BRAY FARM
Closet clean-outs translated to community dollars
WEST YARMOUTH, SEPTEMBER 18, 2019 -- On September 18, 2019, local resale shop, Wicked Thrift, presented a check for $1500 to the nonprofit organization The Taylor Bray Farm. The money was raised through the store’s Red Ribbon Program.
The Red Ribbon Program at Wicked Thrift was launched in February 2019. Owner, Tammy Venneri, says “the program was created to emphasize community outreach and honor recycled fashion” and is now a year-round platform that allows Wicked Thrift’s clothing consignors to donate their expired consignments to benefit various local nonprofit organizations on Cape Cod. Donated items are marked with a red ribbon and those who participate are dubbed “community heroes”.
The $1500 check for the Taylor Bray Farm was raised over a six-month period from the sale of over 100 items, including formals and designer bags.
To participate in Wicked Thrift’s Red Ribbon Program, log on to wickedthrift.com or stop by their West Yarmouth location at 533 Rt.28.
